Job Title: Stores Operative
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Location: Abingdon
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm (40 Hours)
Hourly Rate: £17.30ph - £18.27ph
Responsibilities of the Stores Operative:
- Keep the goods in/out area organised, tidy, and running smoothly,
- Handle all goods-in to the building, conducting inspections where required and ensuring they are delivered to the right person or department in a timely manner
- Pack products according to the packing specification ensuring any relevant paperwork is updated
- Arrange shipments, including preparing necessary paperwork, delivery notes and labelling
- Monitor and maintain the inventory in the goods-out area
- Working closely with engineers
Essentials for the Stores Operative:
- Proven experience in a logistics or warehousing role.
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Willingness to support Engineering and Operations staff
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in logistics operations.
Desirable for the Stores Operative:
- Experience in high value manufacturing.
- Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
- Forklift license
