Great place to work. I have been with the company nearly 7 months now and work within the operations team, and it has flown by! The onboarding process and training I have received has been brilliant - the best I have experienced. Going from working in roles that I have always had to use people skills the internal recruitment team saw the transferrable skills I had and the potential I could bring to the company. Starting in operations support I was able to learn about the company & what recruitment was all about, learning about each team & their industry before being fully supporting by everyone in the company to make the transition into the role of a recruitment consultant....I have now passed my 6 months probation period which has really flown by and not only have I learnt so many new skills, from all the amazing training & coaching that has been provided by Orion Electrotech. I have also been able to go on site visits to some of the leading businesses within Aerospace getting a 1st hand experience of what the working environment is like & giving me a great indication of the culture of the companies. Where do I start? - there are so many positives about Orion, from it's friendly and open feel to the great incentives and companywide benefits, that it is always a pleasure to talk to possible new consultants and support staff about us, and the type of career that is on offer here. I have worked at Orion Electrotech for over 20 years and during that time I have been fully supported in my career. I have been actively encouraged to achieve more and progress within the company. After having my children I returned on a part-time basis with hours that worked for me and increased my hours as my children have grown, as a working mum this is invaluable. A few years ago I wanted to drop my hours slightly to allow me to work a few hours a week doing something that was close to my heart, this was never questioned and I will always be grateful I was able to do this.
