Job Title: Extrusion Setter
Location: Flint, Flintshire
An established and growing manufacturer of plastic and composite components is seeking an experienced Extrusion Setter to join their team. The company specialises in plastic extrusion and moulding, supplying high-quality components to industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, building products, and consumer goods.

- £26k-£27k basic shift allowance – approx. £32-£33k total package

Shifts
37.5 hours per week – 3 rotating shifts
Monday – Thursday:
- Mornings: 06:00 – 14:00
- Afternoons: 14:00 – 22:00
- Nights: 22:00 – 06:00
(30-minute paid break)
Friday:
- Mornings: 06:00 – 11:00
- Afternoons: 11:00 – 16:00
- Nights: 16:00 – 21:00
(No break)
Key Responsibilities
- Set, condition, and optimise extrusion machines to achieve production and quality targets.
- Follow all machine start-up, shutdown, and restart procedures accurately.
- Identify and resolve process and production faults quickly and effectively.
- Conduct tool changes, prepare tooling, and ensure material readiness.
- Maintain machine area cleanliness and organisation in line with 5S standards.
- Operate machinery and perform hands-on production and packing tasks when required.
- Complete shift handovers and daily safety checks, reporting any equipment faults.
Experience & Qualifications
- Extrusion setting experience
- Machine setting eperience
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of adjusting extrusion parameters and optimising machine performance.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to achieving production targets.
