Role Description
As part of the manufacturing team, you will be expected to undertake all aspects of the manufacturing process associated with building the Powerstar battery storage system. The individual will be expected to operate as part of a dynamic team delivering to each unique customer's demands. The individual is expected to be a skilled worker who can prove an aptitude for learning and development as training will take a number of months to complete. Full support will be given to the individual during the training period.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate as part of a team to install the key components of a battery storage system build; cable containment, battery racks, battery control panels, RMMS systems and thyristors
- Work to legislative requirements associated with an electrical product
- Work in accordance with modern safety regulations
- Operate machinery as required
- Use initiative and experience to problem solve
- Prioritisation of product and assembly Quality at all times
- Working of overtime as required to support business needs
Skills, Experience & Education Required
- Ability to follow electrical drawings independently essential
- Panel wiring experience essential
- Level 3 electrical installations preferable with 18th edition or working towards this
- Full apprenticeship, preferably NVQ L3+ or equivalent
- Experience of operating heavy machinery and machine work
- Experience of safe working practices and Health and Safety requirements
- Awareness of electrical systems, telecommunications or equivalent advantageous
- FLT licence desirable but not essential
- Overhead crane licence desirable but not essential
- Manual handling
- Good communication skills
