Mechanical Engineers




We are looking for graduate qualified Mechanical Engineers to provide creativity and problem solving skills to a range of ground breaking, medical device, pharmaceutical and FMCG automation projects.
We need people with a real desire to learn multiple technologies, to think laterally, to succeed and excel when faced with technical challenge. Our successful applicants will join a close knit team of mechanical, electrical and control systems/software Engineers, and will be flexible enough to make an immediate contribution. The role of the Mechanical Engineer at 3P is to:
- Provide creativity and problem solving skills to a range of ground breaking mechanically biased projects
- Assist with the development of specialist bespoke products and equipment for the pharmaceutical, medical device and FMCG sectors
- Be customer focussed, liaising daily with a multinational blue-chip client base.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
There is no “ideal” CV for our positions. Please read the following “essential” and “desirable” experience as guidance only. We recognise that engineers at different stages of their careers and with different experiences can bring different qualities to 3P.
Enthusiastic, energetic, bright, innovative, analytical, scientific, mathematical, attention to detail, good (and precise) written English and a sense of humour are all common desirable attributes that our clients frequently recognise within our engineers. The ability to work hard and collegiately with a number of different teams and to integrate within client teams are also common characteristics.
Essential:
- At least 2 years experience working full-time in a mechanical engineering role.
- Possess a flair for the design of new concepts and ideas for engineering applications.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of maths, physics and engineering design principles.
- Skilled in problem solving methods and techniques.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experienced in automation and production machinery design and development, including practical, ‘hands on’ build and development experience.
- Experienced in use of 3D Computer Aided Design tools – we use Autodesk Inventor.
- Experienced in Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA) methodologies.
- Commercially astute, with understanding of project costing and budget.
QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
- Professionally qualified with a minimum 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
Desirable:
- Grade B or above in A-Level Maths and Physics.
