Asset Manager

Role Description 

The role would suit an Electrical/Electronic Engineer with previous experience with transformers, battery systems and fault finding looking for a new challenge with a company that can offer a long term opportunity for growth and constant personal development. The candidate should have a strong ability to liaise with customers and come to mutually beneficial solutions.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain the uptime of VOs (Voltage Optimisers) and BESS units (Battery Energy Storage System) in the field.
• Maintain and improve existing SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system based on Ewon and PLCs for Energy Systems
• Continuous improvement of our hardware, software and integration of systems. 
• Update FMEA and feedback information and improvements to manufacturing, design and research & development.
• Maintain Energy Power systems and power electronics
• Maintain Modbus TCP/IP Communication and network skills such as VPN
• Management of programmes, stating and keeping up to completion dates

Skills, Experience & Education Required 

• Electrical/Electronic Engineering knowledge (Degree desirable) 
• Strong knowledge of typical Solar and Battery equipment. Including HV Electrical, LV Electrical, Monitoring and Communications, Grounds Maintenance, Security, Safety Systems.
• Understanding of Battery, Power conversion systems and transformer operations and maintenance.
• Strong data processing skills and a good knowledge of Excel.
• Ability to accommodate new challenges and being good problem solver.
• Can work independently and excel in working within a team.
• Based within Sheffield or commutable areas.
• Full UK Driving Licence
