Toolroom Team Leader
Location: Worcester
Salary: Up to £37,635.00 (DOE) - Plus 16% PM Shift Allowance £3010.80 - Plus Attendance Allowance
Orion is working with a leading heavy industrial manufacturing company seeking an experienced Toolroom Team Leader to provide technical expertise, leadership, and support within their busy toolroom.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with strong machining knowledge who thrives on problem-solving, motivating a team, and ensuring production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities of this Toolroom Team Leader role:
Lead and develop a team of Toolmakers
Maintain CNC and die casting machinery (or similar industrial equipment)
Provide support to production, ensuring minimal downtime
Drive continuous improvement in tooling and fixtures
Fault-find and resolve issues in compact machinery
Collaborate with senior management on toolroom operations
Required Experience for this Toolroom Team Leader role:
Manual machining: turning, milling, grinding, bench fitting
Previous toolroom experience within manufacturing
Proven leadership and team management skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Qualifications:
Apprentice trained or time-served Toolmaker
Demonstrable experience leading within a manufacturing environment
Package:
Attendance allowance: £1,000 per year - Paid Quarterly.
Holidays: 26 days plus Bank Holidays
Benefits: Pension contribution, Death in Service cover
Shifts: Double Days – 6am–2pm & 2pm–10pm
