Job Title: Buyer

Location: Telford

Hours: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full purchasing process, including sourcing quotes, assessing suppliers, and raising purchase orders efficiently.
  • Protect production continuity by closely monitoring delivery schedules and preventing supply disruptions.
  • Ensure all materials meet required specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Resolve pricing discrepancies, delivery delays, and non-conformance issues swiftly and effectively.
  • Proactively chase, expedite, and track orders with suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation to ensure audit readiness and full traceability.

Experience & Requirements:

  • Strong negotiation skills with clear, professional communication.
  • Experience using MRP / ERP / SAP systems.
  • Experience purchasing electrical components is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail with a collaborative, solutions focused mindset.
  • Calm, organised, and effective when working in a fast-moving, high-pressure setting.
