Technical Support Controller (Mechanical)
Based in Slough

As Technical Support Controller you will provide front line support to customers within the region, handling incoming service requests in a prompt and effective way and providing technical assistance as required through to conclusion. By working as part of the regional customer support team assist in the day to day running of the department. Deliver excellent levels of customer satisfaction and ensure maximum efficiency through utilising of the SAP system along with other company systems.
 
Technical Support Controller main responsibilities:
 
  • Provide technical in the workshop and the field
  • Ensure the highest level of 'Fixed First Visit' is achieved
  • Ensure that the service engineer's and workshop engineer's work is completed to the highest mechanical standards and quality
  • Support depot & field engineering team
  • Create job cards / notifications via SAP
  • Parts identification and provision for engineers.
  • Plan engineers daily workload, effectively and efficiently
  • Effectively deal with all customer service enquiries
  • Carryout and audit regular department KPI's as instructed
  • Plan and efficiently manage machines
  • Manage engineer job sheets
  • Maintain control of parts within the Service Centre
  • Through SAP correctly prepare the information required for invoicing by Central Billing Team
 
Technical Support Controller experience/education:
  • Time served mechanic
  • Ideally worked with special purpose vehicles (or similar like HGV, Plant and handling equipment)
  • SAP experience
  • Worked in a technical support role
  • Customer facing experience
