Lean / Continuous Improvement Manager (Manufacture)
This strategic Continuous Improvement Manager's role has arisen to develop and drive cultural and operational improvements through identification and rollout of improvement projects within our mechanical production facility.  Whilst we are established, we are continuing to develop our product range both within our core market but also related markets, enabling our stable and sustained growth.
As Continuous Improvement Manager you will be tasked with developing a positive change culture, improving overall process capability, maximizing shop floor layout with specific focus on cost reduction on key products through the structured use of the Lean and Six Sigma tools.  This will be across supply chain, quality and systems / technology,  NPI (New Product Introduction) as well as overall facility wide improvements.
Using your Continuous Improvement Management expertise your key responsibilities will include:
Undertaking Value Stream Mapping activities to enable identification of improvement opportunities
Using your acumen to identify and lead site wide events and projects with the support of multi-disciplined teams to ensure sustainable, tangible improvement. A key element of this will be supporting and developing shop floor and related staff by providing them with the tools and techniques to enable change.
Conduct studies of processes and provide an analysis to enable further improvement.
(This may include you utilising lean techniques such as 5S, 7 Wastes, and similar)
Look at shop floor layouts, implementation of cellular based manufacture and similar to ensure maximum efficiency and much more.
To succeed in this role, you will have a manufacturing / production background with demonstrable lean / continuous improvement / six sigma experience and the leadership expertise to successful deliver change to all levels within production from shop floor through to senior engineers and managers.
