Salary: £27,000 - £33,000 per annum

The Technical Services Technician will provide technical support and guidance to regional teams and end users of specialist equipment via the Help Desk.

Technical Services Technician main responsibilities:

• Fault find technical issues, remotely (telephone, email, live chat etc) guiding technicians through complex diagnostics to a fast resolution
• Investigate reported bugs and other customer issues, working closely with engineering and quality teams within the business to find and provide solutions
• Record all communications and after-sales in a cloud-based ticketing system including technical inquiries, warranty transactions, shipping, returns, quotations, repairs & invoicing
• Investigating and repair of equipment returned as and when required
• Review open inquiries with customers/distributors & internal teams to ensure they are actively updated and progressed to meet response & closure targets
• Work with engineers and Operations teams to progress Continuous improvement and value add solutions for customers
• To assist with testing, introduction, and release of new products
• Assist in conducting customer training

Requirements for the successful Technical Services Technician:

• Experience with capital equipment would be an advantage.
• A background in field service or technical help desk work
• Experience of working software-driven equipment
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role
• An excellent communicator
• City & Guilds, ONC or HNC in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent as well as experience in Mechanical Engineering
