Orion Electrotech are working with an innovative company and are looking for a Software Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities as a Software Automation Engineer:

• Develop custom PLC code tailored to specific project requirements.
• Design intuitive HMIs that provide a seamless user experience.
• Interpret and work from client documentation such as User Requirement Specifications (URS) and Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
• Support site and machinery commissioning activities upon project completion.
• Apply your knowledge of machine processes and line control to ensure optimal performance.

What We’re Looking for as a Software Automation Engineer:

• Solid understanding of machine process and line control.
• Proven experience in developing tailored PLC code.
• Ability to create user-friendly HMI designs for effective machine interaction.
• Experience reading and understanding URS/FDS documents to meet client needs.
• Comfortable assisting with onsite commissioning tasks when needed.

Experience That Will Make Your Application Stand Out:

• Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal.
• Experience with Siemens/Allen Bradley
• Experience with Rockwell Studio 5000.
• Previous work in industry and manufacturing environments.
• A solid grasp of electrical systems and installations.
