Location: Castle Donington

Up to £35,375 DOE

Initially: Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Friday: 7:00am – 12:00 pm

Will move to 2 shifts:

• Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Friday 6:00 am to 1:00 pm
• Monday to Thursday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Orion Electrotech are working with a leading aerospace company dedicated to providing high-quality metal fabrication services, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

They are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.

Key Responsibilities as a Sheet Metal Worker:

• Use of hand tools to cut, bend and straighten sheet metal.
• Inspecting, assembling and smoothing seams and joints of welded, brazed or burred surfaces.
• Assemble and weld components to construct products.
• Measure, cut, and join metal sheets with precision and accuracy.
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of metal properties and how they affect fabrication processes.
• Skilled in operating hand tools, power tools, and machinery used in sheet metal work.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a metal fabrication environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
