As the Service and Repair Engineer, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end support for a diverse range of Auto-ID and industrial automation technologies. The role will require the engineer to divide their time between being office-based at the repair centre and performing configuration, testing, repair and deployment of equipment and being field-based, which would require attending customer sites to conduct installations, commissioning, preventative maintenance, and on-site troubleshooting or repair of equipment, including complex automation systems.
What we would like from the Service and Repair Engineer:
- Experience in a relevant technical role, such as field service or industrial automation
- Strong technical and IT skills, with a good background in electrical and mechanical systems
- Hands-on experience with any of the following: AMRs, print and apply systems, Machine Vision, or FIS scanners and working knowledge of device configuration for brands like Zebra, Honeywell, or Datalogic
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills
- A team player with a helpful, positive, calm, and methodical approach
- Pro-active approach to resolving problems and able to organise work priorities
- Must have the flexibility and willingness to travel nationwide, including overnight stays, as required by customer site visits
- Full UK Driving Licence
