Due to an extended period of exponential growth, we are looking for a Project Design Engineer to join our expanding design team.

About The Project Design Engineer Role

You will be responsible for mechanical design and development of bespoke equipment and machines, along with progressing projects through all stages of a full product development lifecycle.

The Project Design Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Design mechanical solutions for material processing equipment.
  • Collaborate to refine designs for client needs and project requirements.
  • Create detailed CAD drawings for components and assemblies.
  • Evaluate designs for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee prototype fabrication and testing.
  • Conduct design reviews to improve functionality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
  • Source components and materials from suppliers.
  • Manage product lifecycle activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

A successful Project Design Engineer will need:

  • 3 years of equipment design experience
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD.
  • Demonstrate previous experience in project engineering processes.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with relevant certifications.
  • Demonstrate prior experience in a material process equipment related sector.
  • Full Rights to work in the UK
