Our client is looking for a Technical Operations Engineer to join their team in South London
Key Responsibilities
- Focus on fixing and improving how products are overhauled or repaired
- Create and update clear instructions on how to repair or overhaul products
- Create technical job packs to track what is done during each repair job
- Develop tools and procedures to make tasks like taking things apart, cleaning, painting, and putting them back together safer and more efficient
- Design equipment and tools needed to test and assemble products
- Write guidelines for testing products and programming testing equipment
- Provide daily support for new projects and help improve the process for mass production
- Work with different teams like production management, project management, and engineering to deliver the right tools and processes for production
- Regularly review the production process to find the best methods and reduce wasted time, tools, and materials
- Lead or support improvement projects with the workshop teams using lean production methods
- Help with other production-related tasks when needed
- Perform vibration analysis on products and equipment
- Assist in setting up processes and technical requirements to support projects and production
Professional Experience & Education
- A degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (other qualifications like HNC/HND are okay if you have lots of hands-on experience)
- Experience with repair and overhauling equipment is a plus
- Strong practical engineering skills
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design)
- Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and write technical documents
- Fluent in both technical and conversational English
- Good communication skills for working with both internal teams and customers
