Operational Quality Engineer

Our client is a leading manufacturer, dedicated to delivering high-quality products and services to our customers. Located in the picturesque town of Dorking, Surrey, we pride ourselves on our innovative approach and commitment to excellence.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operational Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment and will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout our production processes.

Operational Quality Engineer Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with production teams to develop and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
  • Analyze quality data and generate reports to track performance and identify trends.
  • Train and mentor staff on quality assurance procedures and best practices.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet quality standards.
  • Participate in new product development to ensure quality is built into the design and manufacturing process.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • First off and sample approval ensuring that all new products through the use of FAI reports , APQP and FMEA’s

Operational Quality Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field would be desirable
  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
  • Certification in Six Sigma or similar quality improvement methodologies is a plus.
