This week is Tomorrow’s Engineers Week.
This is an opportunity to shine a spotlight on engineers and engineering careers. In the hopes it will highlight to young people the incredible things engineers work on and the range of jobs available in the industry.
Engineering companies are projected to need 182,000 people with engineering skills each year up to 2022.
By showcasing the various career opportunities and highlighting the different ways that engineers shape our world, Tomorrow’s Engineers Week aims to get young people of all backgrounds, girls and boys, excited about what engineering has to offer. Inspiring the next generation of engineers will help secure UK engineering’s position as a global leader.
They have a great campaign running on their Twitter page across the week, showcasing the events taking place across the UK. Visit their page and use the hashtag #TEWeek16 to get involved.
